LA KHEER DELI

In India, Kheer holds a special space in everyone’s lives. The dish holds cultural value along with nostalgia related to our older generation. The craftswoman behind the kheer is their mother and the siblings keep suggesting their new and young twist to the age-old dessert.

They started in 2017 from Pune and now they plan to spread across the country.  Different flavours of Kheer like Nutella, Brownie, Chocolate, Oreo, and Gulkand are served in the outlet. Now the business is branching and growing through branding and social media. The siblings helped their mother realise their calling!

ENERJUVATE CAFE & STUDIOS

This Bengaluru-based startup was started by cousin sisters Darshana Nahata & Sunayana Hiran in 2017. Enerjuvate Cafe and Studio came to life with only Rs 70 lakh and clocked more than Rs 2 crore in revenue in just 2 years. Now the duo is looking for pan-India expansion.

Their vision was based on the fact that Indians are increasingly becoming conscious about their eating habits and overall health. The people are more aware of mental health problems, eating disorders and have put the wellness industry on a pedestal. They turned this into their opportunity to help people have better eating habits and other healthy habits such as working out.
The duo also conducts workshops on healthy eating and living. They follow an all-women management structure that uplifts the community of women.

The business was rebuilt as a hamburger stand and later turned into a franchise with the golden arches logo being introduced in 1953 at a location in Phoenix, Arizona.

Now, McDonald’s is the world’s largest chain restaurant based on revenue, serving over 70 million customers in over 100 countries!

While working with siblings can be challenging, these examples prove that the pros outweigh the cons! Food businesses owned by sibling partners also have a particular style. They choose to run their projects with a family-first ethos where respect for each other, collective decision-making, brutal honesty and reasonable expectations are the guiding principles. In addition to great food, of course. The love and bonds of siblings are eternal. What better way to pay tribute to the bond by celebrating rakhi and highlighting these legendary business owners who also are loving siblings!
