Lockdown Effect - How A Teacher Became A Chef!

Cooking was really my first love. During childhood when all kids used to go to play cricket in ground, i was always be like the one who use to remain in kitchen with my mom to learn cooking. This was the thing which had always fascinated me esp various cooking techniques, ways of cooking, cutting and culiniary arts, etc etc. This is how it had come up in my life. I had coaching institutes in navi mumbai since 2008 and had developed a renowned brand of ace abhilash tutorials in mumbai. Hundrends of students have passed under my insitute's name and settled their career in good city, colleges and countries. I was busy and happy doing teaching but this is how my cooking passion has turned into reality.

This lockdown was really horrible for all and especially for teachers, because it was the end of the session and all the finances were exhausted and almost a fortnight was left to initiate with the new session but lockdown was announced. A great period of distress, only hopes surviving. After every 15 days the lockdown period started getting extended. Adding worries to our concern. During that distress i was already fighting a lot in my personal life apart from severe financial crunches. Then I carried on my cooking passion and started my youtube channel for cooking by name "chef sheeru", the response was not at all expected. It was in the month of april when it was started, i got good response not only in the youtube platform but also in other social media platforms viz. Facebook, instagram etc.

On the one side i was overwhelmed that apart from teaching, cooking is the passion with which i can move on, but on the other hand financial crunch was getting worsened day by day. One fine day someone asked me why dont you sell your food? I was stunned because i never thought of it. And i was earlier even feeling awkward too that what will people think if a teacher starts selling food. Then finally i decided let the people think whatever they wish to, i will carry on with my passion and i started and touchwood by god's grace i have got a very great response and am cordially thankful to my family, my food patrons, my friends and colleagues who have always supported and promoted all my deeds.
