- Step 1: To prepare the Cheesy Pumpkin Flower Fritters, firstly wash the pumpkin flowers in running water and pat dry for some time.
- Step 2: Meanwhile, cut out lower part/sepal (which contains a stalk, a bottom and at center a stigma (0.5-1 inch length and yellow in color) of the flower, except the petal.
- Step 3: To prepare the stuffing for Cheesy Pumpkin flower fritters, in a bowl add chopped onions, grated Cheese cubes, grated apple, and pepper powder and mix it thoroughly. Add salt as per taste. Now prepare a batter of gram flour, add 1tsp of Nigella seeds and sprinkle oil. Keep it aside.
- Step 4: Heat a little oil in a nonstick pan/tawa on a medium flame Now take one flower at a time, fill the pumpkin flower with the prepared stuffing of grated Cheese cubes and grated apple, dip in batter, shake off excess batter and place on the tawa. Shallow fry. Once both sides are cooked for 2 minutes or till crisp on one side flip and cook the other side by drizzling a little oil. When golden brown, bring the cheesy fritters on a plate and serve hot with any ketchup of choice.
