  • Wheat flour
  • Jaggery
  • Rice flour
  • Rice
  • Sugar
  • Ghee
  • Cashew
  • Raisins
  • Coconut
  • Cardamom powder


  • In a mixing bowl add 1 Cup of Wheat Flour a pinch of salt and 2 Tablespoon of Powdered sugar or normal sugar, Mix them well. Knead it into a tight dough adding water as needed. Now grease your hands and mold them in Small Balls. Dust a plate with some flour and place the molds on the plate to avoid sticking. In a pan heat 2 Tablespoon of Ghee and fry Dry Fruits of our choice,And a few Fresh Coconut pieces to add a good flavor to the Payasam. In another pan add 4 cups of water and Undrallu, bring it to a boil on a medium flame for 10 minutes, stirring it when required. When they are cooked the Undrallu cut or break easily, just check them once and then add 1 ½ Jaggery. Let the Jaggery melt and boil it for 2 to 3 more minutes. Sugar can also be added. In a bowl mix ¼ Cup of Rice Flour with some water and add it to the undrallu and jaggery mixture, let it cook for a while on medium flame. Stirring it constantly. Now, add ½ Teaspoon of Cardamom Powder and garnish it with fried dry fruits, add some more Ghee to it. Undralla Payasam is ready to serve.
