  • Rice, washed and soaked 1 cup
  • Tomatoes. peeled and chopped 3 units
  • Onion 1 units
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoons
  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoons
  • Curry leaves 4-5 units
  • Peanuts 2 tablespoons
  • Cashews 10 units
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoons
  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons
  • Garam masala 1 teaspoons
  • Mint and coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Salt as per taste

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, saute mustard seeds, peanuts, cashew nuts, onion, ginger-garlic paste and curry leaves in hot oil.
  • Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, rice and salt and 2 cups of water. Pressure cook it for 2 whistles. Turn off the heat and let it cool for 10 min.
  • Mix well and garnish it with mint and coriander leaves and serve hot.
